Little India

この間、リトルインディアに行ってSok Kuanとヨウヘイくんとランチ食べて来たよ。行ったレストランはもちろんKomala Vilas。

あたしはここに来たらいつもオニオンマサラドーサイを食べる。安くて美味しい！日本円で200円くらい。

今回の帰国は群馬の実家に３週間くらい＋東京に１週間、
のんびりゆったり過ごしました。

気がついたら、
群馬にいる間に撮った写真に写っているのは、
ほとんどが食べ物でした。

桐生名物ソースかつ丼。

懐石料理。

ほりえの焼きそば。

伊勢やのいなり寿司＆そうめん。

鱒釣りにもまた行ったよ〜。

桃のおいしい季節です。
普通に桃だけで食べたほうがやっぱおいしい。

焼きまんじゅう。
これは食べなければ。

おねえとフレンチランチ。
冷たいコーンスープおいしかった〜。

桐生最後のディナーはきのこ茶屋で。

Si Bon dinner

Lee-chan and Mike brought us for dinner last Friday to a restaurant called Si Bon, it was for Lee-chan's belated and my early birthday dinner :)
Gochisousama deshita~~!

The 1st dish they served was sooo good, expectation for kushiage and sushi naturally rise up!

Kushiage is served one by one.
どれも驚きの美味さで唸りっぱなし！

'Glico Asparagus Pocky ~ ♪'

The chef taught us - including me - how to eat sushi in correct way. Everybody asked me 'Aren't you Japanese?!'

一応日本人でがす。。。
すしの正しい食べ方、知ってましたがそれって主にシャリをこぼさないためだと思ってた。きっとそれもあるはずだけど、正しい食べ方で味がこんなにも変わるとは存じませんでした！これからは正しく食べようっと。

Jakarta debut

I am in Jakarta now! Decided to come here last minutes on Friday, cos Lester has to stay over the weekend and I hadn't come here before, wanted to check out what kind of place he comes often for business.

週末レスターがシンガポールに帰ってくる予定だったんだけど、ジャカルタに月曜日までいなきゃいけなくなったから来てみた！飛行機で１時間半くらい。

Came to Ootoya, where we had a horrible experience in Singapore one and it made us never go back again... Lester found a used bandage on his korokke when he was almost done with his Korokke set!!! Finger crossed for having a safe meal..

コロッケから絆創膏が出てきた事件以来、大戸屋は避けてたんだけどジャカルタなら大丈夫かなってことでご飯食べに来ました。。何事もなく普通に食べさせておくれ〜。

Yes, Indonesian are good at customer service. I missed this feeling without getting annoyed by shopkeepers or waiters like in Singapore.

インドネシアの皆さんは笑顔が素敵、カスタマーサービスもいいですし。シンガポール人の皆さんも是非、お願いですから、見習って下さい！！

お茶っ子

Met up with Sok Kuan for tea on Tuesday.
Came to a cafe called Caramel on Beach Road.

I really love their creme brulee, finished most of it which Sok Kuan ordered and took out another 4 pieces..!
Highly recommend!!

Sok Kuan と Caramel というカフェでお茶してきました。
クリームブリュレがとってもおいしくて持ち帰りもしちゃったよ。
おすすめ！

Cooking class

I visited a Japanese cooking teacher on the other day, watched her cooking and helped her a bit. It was my first experience for attending cooking class, although it wasn't exactly a cooking class :) I chatted with other ladies and had a wonderful lunch!


Rice with Sakura and fried been curd.
桜の塩漬けと油揚げの炊き込みご飯。
ふんわり桜の香りがしておいしかった〜。

Stir-fried chicken and garlic.
鶏とにんにくの炒め煮。

Marinated eggplants.
なすのマリネ。

Grilled tofu and mushroom with herb.
オトーフときのこのハーブ焼。

Green tea Bavarian cream.
抹茶のババロア。


日本にいるときから３０年以上お料理教室をなさっている先生と知り合いになって、来て来て〜とのお誘いを受け、お邪魔してきました。

みしまさん、どれもとてもおいしかったです！
ごちそうさまでした♪

Kki @ Ann Siang Hill

Sok Kuan! Long time no see ~~~ !
We arranged to meet at Kki at Ann Siang Hill.

She is a good friend of mine. She even visited me to my hometown Gunma 5 years ago.

All the cake looks cute at Kki :)

I chose Ginger Lychee Cake.

I forgot the name of the cake Sok Kuan picked..
But I prefer this and about a half of it was eaten by me, sumimasen!
I hadn't seen her for a while, we laughed a lot and had a very good chat :)

Happy Birthday Caspar!

We had dinner at a new ramen shop named Ippudo at Mandarin Gallery last Friday and it was Caspar's birthday :)
